Mazl tov NY!! ask about our Marriage Equality special in August!
Yes, we play weddings! Our klezmer-bluegrass hora will knock your socks off, our swing and jazz tunes will romance you, and we play everything from classical to classic rock to please everyone in your family. Our dance tunes are irresistible, yet our acoustic string sound means we're never too loud. There are dozens of videos of us on YouTube: search "Klezmer Mountain Boys" for our klezmer/bluegrass horas, and "MLMakesMusic" for our rock, jazz and swing. Here's a hora: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snN3Ecu1hmY and here's a little rock-n-roll http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5pu2j3oY77s&feature=related

Philadelphia Enquirer: "Margot Leverett plays a virtuoso clarinet."
Jewish Week: "Leverett is one of the top clarinetists in New Klez and the band is top-notch."
In short, the band is FABULOUS! My wife and I were married on Sept. 17 at Tavern of the Green. We had 110 guests. Being a musician myself and having spent many years in the music business, the decision of which band to have at our wedding was a very serious one to me. They surpassed all of my expectations. As thoroughly impressed as I was with their CD, I was even more impressed by their spirit, energy and virtuosity live. Our wedding guests STILL talk about the "amazing band." that played and played and played. I don't remember doing anything else at my wedding but dancing. I've been to many weddings, but ours was surely among the most spirited, and I credit, in large part, Margot Leverett and the Klezmer Mountain Boys for making it such.
congratulations and good luck with the wedding!

The Klezmer Mountain Trio - Margot Leverett on clarinet, Joe Selly on guitar and Kenny Kosek on fiddle - proved to be the perfect musical accompaniment for our wedding at a beautiful old Connecticut inn. From the traditional soulful processional to the lively and exhilarating hora, these talented musicians created a warm and festive atmosphere and a most memorable way to celebrate with our family and friends. We continue to hear compliments about the music…and even had the pleasure of enjoying our trombone-playing cousin join in on a few songs. It was truly a most wonderful day and we thank Margot for being so incredibly responsive as we prepared for it (answering questions and offering suggestions by phone/email without pause!). We look forward to returning to hear the Klezmer Mountain Boys at their upcoming Klezmer brunches and highly recommend them to anyone planning a joyous occasion; they will enhance your day as they did ours.

Dear Margot
Thank you and the Klezmer Mountain Boys for making Molly and Asaf's wedding perfect. Your musicianship is awesome. Your ability to read the room made it feel like you could read our hearts and minds. You didn't just play what we wanted to hear, you made the party into a true simcha.
Thank you again and should you ever use happy customers as references Liz and I would be honored to recommend your band without hesitation or reservation. In other words, everyone had a great time and you get the credit for that.
Sincerely, David and Liz

Hi Danny and Margot!
Jesse and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for making our wedding and ceremony so meaningful.
Danny, everyone keeps on raving about you and the other musicians. Your voice during the ceremony with Lisa was wonderful and could not have been more perfect! It very much surpassed my dreams of the youtube video of book of love we spoke about! If you ever need references, please let us know.
Thanks again!
Rachael & Jesse
Finding Margot and the Boys a was a little miracle. Their music speaks right to the soul. It stirs up feelings as old as the world. As old as love and family and reverence and laughter and dancing on a wooden floor. They blessed our night.

Dear Margot
What a joyful experience to have you and the boys celebrate with us at Adele's Bat Mitzvah!! You now have 100 new fans (we were fans already!!) Your music brought everyone together and added so much to the "vibe" of the day!! and our guests loved that they could sit at their tables, listen and appreciate the music, while actually "hearing each other talk"!!
And then there is Willa, the amazing dance coordinator, who kept us dancing, laughing, and schvitzing... she is so talented, imaginative and just wonderful! You, the boys, and Willa are absolutely one of the best memories we have of this celebration. We'll keep in touch!

"I wanted to let you know what a wonderful job you and the KMB did at Rebecca's bat mitzvah. I can't count how many people told me how cool you are and what a fun time they had dancing to your music.
I know it could not have been easy on the roof (hot/sunny) and dance floor (tiny), but you are true professionals and never sounded anything but great.
Thanks so much, and I hope we'll see you again soon!"

Dear Margot and the Klezmer Mountain Boys
We were so delighted with our choice of such a talented and thoughtful band to play at our wedding! So many of our guests praised the lovely and spirited music, remarking how great the musicians were on that special day. From the beautiful ceremony send off, to the joyous mingling and dinner hour, to the rousing outdoor hora, we were impressed. You added much to our day. Thank you! In appreciation, Adam and Rachel

"The procession began with Margot Leverett, strolling alone down the aisle, an ethereal, almost mournful doina emanating from her clarinet. Waiting in the foyer outside with Carol, I began to cry."

1. We love your klezmer & bluegrass, but our friends want to hear some rock & roll - can you play other kinds of music? Yes we can!! the guys in this band have played with everyone from Jerry Garcia to Guy Lombardo, making this one of the most versatile bands in town. We play Rock, Jazz, swing, and a huge range of requests.
2. Really? Can you play _______________________? I won't say we've played every tune ever written, but if you have a special request we most likely can do it, and we love playing requests!

Yes! we work with yiddish, israeli, and american dance instructors, including Willa Horowitz, Howard Richman, and Steve Weintraub, who is an expert at getting horas up and roaring, and can also call squares and contradances. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrtKX1eSeTo
